Design state of the art product user experiences by driving insights from big data analytics.

Work Experience

Human Factors Data Analyst, Ford Mo. Co.
July, 2020 - Present

Derived key insights into how customers use controls and features from big data mined from connected vehicles fleet for product optimization.

  • Defined key performance indices - KPIs like usage frequency, feature adoption, etc to analyze user interaction with vehicles features.
  • Performed data analysis on CAN/DID signals dataset fetched using SQL queries from thousands of vehicles using Alteryx and Python.
  • Created interactive visualizations of KPIs using Qlik Sense and Excel for the vehicle features.
  • Analyzed data with appropriate statistical tests like A/B testing, tests of significance, probability, regression etc.
  • Presented user interaction insights and made recommendations to management for future product optimization. Examples include - usage of headlamp switch, Lincoln hot-keys, drive modes, climate controls, lock away lock, etc.
  • Lead development of a dashboard to track KPIs related to customer comments on social media.

Interaction & Ergonomics Engineer, Ford Mo. Co.
Aug, 2015 - July, 2020

Designed ergonomically the best in the class cockpit controls layout to deliver what customers want by collaborating across a cross-functional team.

  • Performed ergonomics evaluations of vehicle interiors digitally using tools like CATIA, Teamcenter, Jack, etc and physically by building SLA bucks to support various program milestones.
  • Designed experiments like A/B testing, surveys etc to evaluate usability and customer acceptance for futuristic in-vehicle digital interfaces, signature Lincoln e-shifter, etc.
  • Performed legibility evaluations for digital interfaces using tools like Photoshop and InVision.

Internship at Deep Orange 6, Clemson
May, 2014 - Aug, 2015

Created an urban activity electric car for Gen-Y working with an industry partner - Toyota, a multi-disciplinary team, and faculty.

  • Involved in material and manufacturing process selection for structural parts in the vehicle.
  • Developed novel closure concept which provided entrance without B pillar obstruction without sacrificing side crash safety.
  • Developed kinematics, hinge design and packaging concept for the closures.
  • Performed finite element simulation to validate the structure of the hatch.
  • Compiled evidence book for the body-in-white team (document containing project progress).
  • Optimized topology and weight of door panel and hinge geometry using FEA in Hyperworks Optistruct.
